Injection of fluid into the deep subsurface porous media involved in drilling, hydraulic fracturing, CO2 storage, waste disposal, gas storage and geothermal energy system. Computational geomechanics of porous media is essential to mimic such processes as field or laboratory tests are not available. This mini-symposium will discuss applications of the analytical and numerical methods, constitutive modeling, soft computing and parallel algorithm to the various deep subsurface injection processes in civil, mining and petroleum engineering.
